About Us
We created Off Watch Wellness because the gap was obvious.
First responders are amongst the most underserved people in the mental health system. Their need is there, but the system just isn’t built to fit that need.
A system where generic therapy settings with clinicians who have never heard of an OSI are the norm, it makes it far more challenging for public safety personnel to reach out for help. They avoid it because the help available was never built for them.
Off Watch Wellness exists to fix that. We offer counseling built around the realities of public safety work: the shift patterns, the culture, and the specific weight of what the job asks of you over a career.
Our Approach
Therapy that meets you where you are
We use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care. Sessions are virtual, one-on-one, and scheduled around your rotation.
We work with clients on:
Operational stress injuries (OSI)
PTSD and trauma
Anxiety and depression
Relationship and family strain
Sleep disruption and burnout
Grief and critical incident stress
Moral injury
Compassion fatigue
We also work extensively with families of Public Service Personnel.
